Hüseyin Nuri Turhanlı Primary School, which was first built by businessman Emrullah Turhanlı in Varto District, was opened. Speaking at the opening of a primary school with 16 classrooms, costing 500 thousand YTL, Muş Governor İbrahim Özçimen said that education is accepted as a work of heart all over the world. Pride day in Varto
The primary school built by businessman Emrullah Turanlı on memoriam of his grandfather, Huseyin Nuri Turanlı, was opened in a magnificent ceremony. Emrullah Turanlı had participated in the campaign initiated by Milliyet Daily.

The opening of the primary school in district of Varto, with 16 classrooms, was spectacular. The contsruction work for the school was initiated in July. Student capacity of the school is 730 while the old school building was organized as a dormitory for 200 students.
At the opening, Governor İbrahim Özçimen, Vice President of the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life. Dr. Filiz Meriçli, Provincial Director of National Education İlhami Bayraktar, Varto District Governor Mehmet Tanisir, parents and students were present.
The guests were welcomed by the performances of the folklore team at the opening ceremony of the school (which cost about 1.5 million YTL). The "Daddy Let Me Go to School" campaign, launched last year with the aim of teaching the girls of Milliyet, enlightened the students in Varto district of Muş. So far, we have provided support to over 6,500 girls so that they find scholarships. As a media company, we shared our enthusiasm as well as financial contribution with charitable citizens, businessmen, non-governmental organizations and associations. We all tried to overcome with this hard task. We discussed with our Director of National Education, the tutition rate among girls has been 72 percent in the last two years. However, at secondary school level, this rate drops down to 13 percent. Speaking to 19 dormitory students in a year, Mergen said, "Meriçli said that the children they taught were teachers in the villages. They know the value of this job best. We want to see you with us after 5-10 years. So that, we feel proud with that” said Mergen.
Within the framework of the campaign, the dormitory for girls , which was built in Bulanik, on Saturday was opened by Governor Özçimen along with Minister of Transport Binali Yıldırım, Milliyet Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Sedat Ergin and Türkân Saylan, President of Association for Supporting Contemporary Life. Özçimen stated the following. "This is a good example of investments in education all over the world," adding that the school is closing a major gap.
Becoming Teachers
Speaking at the ceremony, ÇYDD Vice President Filiz Meriçli stated that the biggest problem in the country is education and they are working with all their strengths to find solutions to this problem and added that
" There are 7.5 million people who are illiterate in Turkey. 6 million of them are women. Our 6 million women are given courses in public education centers with the joint efforts of non-governmental organizations.
We are trying to teach how to read and write within the "Support to National Education" campaign launched by Semra Sezer, the wife of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer. But in order not to increase this number, all our girls should go to school and no additional illiterates are created.
